Cento Restaurant Review

Cento

122 W. Mifflin Street, Madison, Wisconsin

We went on a Thursday arriving right when they opened at 4 PM.  We did have to wait for a bit for a host to get us to our table.

The dining room and bar area are gorgeous with sleek modern lines and very cool light fixtures.  There is another level upstairs that appears would be great for a party with its own bar area.

We waited at the table for a bit for our server.  Once the server arrived we asked her what was good!  Matt ordered the Swordfish Cioppino that came with shrimp, calamari, kale and cannellini.  Matt did point out that his meal came with something that appears to have tentacles, which he opted to not try.

I had the Roasted Chicken with squash, cipollini, sage + an altered non-dairy butternut puree.  While there were some issues confirming the meal was ultimately non-dairy, once confirmed it was wonderful and full of flavor.  Plate presentation was top notch.

Cento is located in Downtown Madison. We parked in a ramp a few blocks away and did have to pay for parking.

The main entree pricing ranged from $29 – $85.  The Swordfish was $30 and the Roasted Chicken was $29. So our meal was in the medium-price range.  It is nice they provide a range of price options.

Cento is part of the Food Fight Group.  We had a gift card to use to pay for dinner.

Overall, the food is full of flavor and presented well.  When you are in the Downtown area, check it out!

Food Ratings:

Swordfish Cioppino: 8
Roasted Chicken: 10
